Community resilience employee secondment program
Employees with relevant skills have the opportunity to take part in Zurich’s employee secondment program. For an agreed length of time, employees can be seconded to a project with one of our alliance organizations such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) or Practical Action, with a research institution such as the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center or the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), or with local Red Cross societies that are directly involved in projects.
Health and safety
At Zurich, we take precautions to prevent people from becoming injured or ill while working or working in conditions which may pose a health risk. Prevention of work-related ill health is achieved through ergonomic design of workplaces and equipment, provision of high quality working environments and management of potential health risks.
Improved personal health is encouraged through various local initiatives including access to fitness facilities, health screening and medicals, wellbeing programs, healthy food choices, work-life balance initiatives, flexible working and stress management.
