Our initiatives around the world
Gender Affirmation Policy

Gender affirmation is a process where someone takes social, medical and/or legal steps to live as their defined gender(s), based on what is right for them. We recognize that everyone’s experience is unique, and this is reflected in the flexibility of the leave and range of support provided to someone who is affirming their gender.
LGBTQ+ Inclusive Language Guide

Our LGBTQ+ writing and language guide is a resource for communicating directly with someone or talking about someone who isn’t present. The guide ensures what we say demonstrates respect for our colleagues and customers who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Gender Diverse, Intersex, Queer or Questioning.

zurich Germany has joined the Cologne Alliance
“With women in leadership” – True to this motto, Zurich has officially joined the Cologne Alliance, which is committed to promoting the appointment of women to leadership roles in Cologne’s top companies.
Challenged Support Team for disability inclusion at Zurich Japan

The Challenged Support Team (CST) is a team of employees at Zurich Japan that was launched in 2019 to support disability inclusion. The CST is active in multiple areas of the Zurich Japan GI business and keeps growing.
DEIB in Singapore taken to the next level

Zurich in Singapore has officially launched its own local Women Innovation Network (WIN) in 2022. WIN advocates for a workplace that rewards merit and accomplishment above all else, regardless of gender.
