Diversity

We take pride in the diversity of our people. It’s part of making Zurich an employer of choice, while helping us to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

How we understand diversity

At Zurich, we believe that diversity thrives in an environment that acknowledges, values, and leverages differences. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where we do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other characteristics protected by law. Our dedication to respecting human rights is enshrined in the Group’s Code of Conduct.

We outline our diversity strategy with key areas and initiatives at a global level, while allowing regions and countries the flexibility to address specific local issues. Given that laws vary from country to country, our actions are tailored to ensure compliance with local regulations.

For us, diversity also means embracing the unique perspectives our people bring and harnessing the value of these diverse views and opinions. We actively implement initiatives to maintain a zero-tolerance stance against harassment, discrimination, bullying, and disrespectful behavior in the workplace.
