How we understand employee wellbeing
We believe employees who are healthy, happy and motivated are more productive and engaged.
Zurich has developed a global holistic wellbeing framework that provides our people with the tools and resources needed to stay healthy and empowered. We aim to support measures that allow employees to grow in the four dimensions of wellbeing – physical, social, mental and financial – which are supporting our employees to be our best selves every day and everywhere.

Our wellbeing initiatives around the world
Equilíbrio Z
Zurich in Brazil has launched the program Equilíbrio Z in order to encourage and support a healthy work-life balance for Zurich employees in Brazil
There are various initiatives in place to support employees in the four focus areas of wellbeing: physical, mental, financial and social wellbeing
FactorZ
This program has the purpose to cultivate and sustain good human networks. Cultivate the development of emotional/relationship management skills
Through monthly activities – physical activities, workshops, recognition programs, etc. – the employee is encouraged to strengthen healthy habits
The focus of our community is wellbeing
Reto Bienestar
The Zurich employees will participate in the wellness challenge through the wide range of activities, with each one being able to choose those that add to their quality of life
The activities are:
- Functional training, therapeutic movements and conscious eating.
- Webinars and workshops of wellbeing
- Health campaign
- Live Well app health campaigns: Daily use and different annual challenges
Occupational health and wellness
The goal is to prioritize the safety, integrity and security of Zurich employees
Promoting healthy habits and guaranteeing compliance with the regulations in the country about the occupational health. We will do it with a focus on the five initiatives:
- Health surveillance ergonomics
- Prevention and care
- Flexible work models
- The mental and physical health program
B&B
The benefits program is part of our sustainable global wellness framework to create benefits for Zurich employees and the company. Now employees are healthy, happy and motivated in their work

Seeing what others don’t see at Zurich Germany
Zurich Germany joins the Group’s framework agreement with Auticon and promotes the project deployment of people with autism at Zurich

Support wellbeing by med-check for the employees and commitment to planet: harvesting vegetable plants at office’s rooftop
Our commitment to Wellbeing, Sustainability, Emerging Leaderz and Mindfitz evidenced by the birth of Zurina. Driven by employees and supported by Zurich, through integrated activities such as med-check, EAP (wellbeing); music and sports (Mindfitz) and inspiring leadership talkshows. Also, our go green campaign by solar panel and vegetable plants at office rooftop by our hydroponic enthusiast
APAC People Council: Feel valued, respected and engaged
Building connectivity and driving positive change in Asia Pacific (APAC).
APAC People Council has established to promote and share best practices across the region, to expedite the great DEIB and wellbeing initiatives. Each quarter, the council focuses on one topic. In Q4 2021, we hosted the Wellbeing Challenge and raised more than $40,000. with participation of nearly 700 employees across seven countries.
Challenging employees to boost wellbeing
During the month of May 2021, 48 employees participated in the “May-You-Be-Fit Challenge,” tracking their steps in order to collect money for charity.
In November 2021, a “Movember” challenge was launched to raise awareness about mental health issues faced by men. Thirteen “Mo Bros” participated by growing a moustache to support the initiative. In addition, over $10,000 was raised for charity.

In 2018, Zurich developed a holistic employee wellbeing framework that provides its employees with the tools and resources needed to help them stay healthy and empowered. With four key areas of mental, physical, social and financial wellbeing.
