Real Estate Outlook
A publication from Zurich Real Estate Investments that shares valuable perspectives from our global experts.
Real Estate Outlook 2025
Zurich Real Estate Investment’s 2025 Outlook explores key trends that will influence real estate occupier and investor attitudes over the coming year. Titled Divergent Paths at an Inflection Point, this publication comes at what we see as a unique period for global real estate markets. After a challenging few years for the asset class, there are numerous reasons to believe that real estate markets are reaching an inflection point. In the geographies where Zurich primarily invests, valuations better reflect the current interest rate environment, occupier markets are holding up and supply pipelines have appropriately recalibrated. As a consequence, we see liquidity prospects improving and a fine vintage for returns in the making. The story, however, is complicated by geopolitics, structural challenges and even ESG adoption. But therein lies the opportunity.

Real Estate Mid-year Outlook 2024
Crises, capital markets and conviction calls
Group Real Estate offers a fresh approach with their Mid-year Outlook 2024. Striving for transparency, the team scrutinizes their recent commentary of real estate fundamentals and the subsequent conviction calls that were advanced. They acknowledge what they got right and reiterate strategic views. But the team also reflects on market mis-readings and evolves views accordingly. Conditions haven’t changed fundamentally to warrant completely different thinking. In many instances, global real estate markets are evolving as anticipated. Of course, that’s not to suggest that developments have been totally sanguine. Given that real estate is adjusting to a new interest rate regime as well as challenges brought by structural disruption and climate change, inevitably there are complexities to consider.
