Zurich offers free public transportation in the Canton of Zurich
To mark its 150th anniversary, Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) is offering free public transportation in the ZVV area on October 22, 2022. The tickets can be purchased with a promo code in the ZVV app and in the ZVV webshop.
Founded as a marine reinsurer on October 22, 1872, under the name Versicherungs-Verein, Zurich today insures people and businesses in more than 210 countries and territories worldwide.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, Zurich has teamed up with the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV) to give travelers a special gift: On October 22, 2022, Zurich will cover the cost of public transport travel throughout the ZVV network.
“Zurich has always been our home and has been instrumental in shaping our brand,” said Conny Kalcher, Group Chief Customer Officer at Zurich. “This special action shows our appreciation of Zurich - its people, the city and the canton. But we also want to highlight that we all need to do more to protect our planet, whether our contributions are big or small.”
Lukas Tenger, Head of Marketing at ZVV, said, “We are pleased to be able to facilitate Zurich's campaign with the help of our ZVV app. We hope that this offer will be widely used and that many people will be motivated to use public transport more often in their daily lives.”
With the promo code1 “Zurich150”, residents and visitors can now buy their ticket for the bus, tram, train or boat via the ZVV website (www.zvv.ch) or the ZVV app for the day in question.
