Cara Morton has extensive experience in strategic business transformation. She took on the role of CEO Zurich Global Ventures and became a member of the Executive Committee in February 2024. Prior to that she served as CEO of Cover-More Group, which is part of Zurich Global Ventures. Zurich acquired Cover-More Group, a leading travel insurance and assistance solutions provider, in 2017. Ms. Morton joined Cover-More in July 2018 as interim CEO World Travel Protection until in November 2018 she became Cover-More Chief Operating Officer, remaining in that role until April 2020 when she was named Cover-More CEO. Prior to joining Cover-More Group, from 2014 to 2018 she held various senior leadership positions at QBE Insurance Group, serving as group head of transformation and change, then group head of strategic transformation and ultimately as group head of operations. She began her professional career at Accenture, previously known as Andersen Consulting, in 1991 in Brisbane and remained until 2014. Her roles there included leading projects for global banking and insurance companies, including as a managing director of the finance and performance management consulting business across Asia Pacific.

In 1990, Ms. Morton completed a bachelor’s degree in minerals processing engineering, with honors, at the University of Queensland.
