Every note makes a difference

Zurich x Lucerne Festival

At Zurich we believe in the power of togetherness. Just as every note in a melody has an impact, every one of us, no matter how different we are, can have a positive impact on the planet.

This is why, Zurich joins forces with Lucerne Festival and with anyone willing to create a brighter future together. A future that is more diverse and greener today and for the new generations.

A brighter future is more diverse

At Zurich, we believe we can all live in a diverse world that’s in harmony with the planet. However, we all must recognize that in some respects classical music is not always representative of society. There should be more musicians of color, more female composers and audiences from a broader mix of social backgrounds.

That’s why we support and celebrate Lucerne Festival for taking a stand for equal opportunities.

A brighter future is greener

Forests play a fundamental role in fighting climate change and in preserving global biodiversity. Thus, it is the responsibility of all of us to protect and preserve them.
This is why Zurich works with Instituto Terra, a Brazil-based non-profit identity, to bring back to life a part of the greatest forest on earth.

Zurich Forest Project

Let’s join our forces for the planet!

At Zurich we celebrate all individual actions, from big and small, because they add up to something so much greater. That’s why we created a statue from captured CO2.

During Lucerne Festival in Summer we invite everyone to step in, complete the circle, and make their own pledge on how each of us can take action to combat climate change. Every time a person steps in, some musical notes from a popular sonata will be heard. Let’s compose our own lush and lasting symphony together!

Acting for the planet at Lucerne Festival

At Zurich, we also want to make a difference by planting one tree for every guest of our sponsored concerts (August 9 and 31, and September 11), as well as for those who make a pledge at the Zurich statue located in the KKL from August 8-11. Let’s compose our own symphony together!
