Is your next holiday in space? Make sure you’re covered

May 4 – or better known as May the fourth… – is an informal annual commemorative day to celebrate Star Wars. To mark Star Wars Day, Cover-More provides some insights into leisure travel in the (far, far away) future.
Our experts at travel insurance and assistance provider Cover-More, which is part of the Zurich Group, gave us some light-hearted insights into what the future of traveling and space travels could look like. Buckle up!
Cover-More aims to make sure that your next trip is exciting, unique and safe.
And what could be more unique than visiting the stars and newly discovered planets light years away? Earth-age travel insurance creates some challenges for your travel plans – and we put in the hard work to ensure our ‘Stars Plan’ meets your needs.
- Your health and existing conditions are our primary concern. How will your body react in weightlessness or in High G environments? But rest assured that at your destination you will be looked after by first-rate medical care. We audit the colony hospital on the Moon, and work hard with the colonization government to keep all the off-world medical centers staffed and ready for our customers.
- We want you to enjoy yourself. Our policies cover activities such as space walks and xenomorphic encounters. But keep in mind that at 24km high, Olympus Mons is the highest mountain on Mars, so if you would like to go on a hike of a lifetime you might want to contact us first to discuss safety precautions.
- If something were to go wrong during your journey, our award-winning search and rescue team is made up of space marines, and can get you out of any sticky situation, from shuttle breakdown to emergency repatriation back to Earth from the DarkShadow resorts around Pluto.
- Unfortunately, there are still some things that we cannot cover. Make sure you research your destination well, as regulations prohibit us from assisting with any abductions by the local extra-terrestrials.
